Hi! Thank you so much for stopping by! And hey, welcome to Girly Geek Philippines!
Why Girly Geek?
I believe that the term “geek” has evolved over time. Nowadays, geeks come in all shapes and sizes. There are computer geeks, comic geeks, makeup geeks, anime geeks. It’s almost as if the term has become synonymous with passion and obsession.
“Being a geek is all about being honest about what you enjoy and not being afraid to demonstrate that affection. It means never having to play it cool about how much you like something. It’s basically a license to proudly emote on a somewhat childish level rather than behave like a supposed adult. Being a geek is extremely liberating.”
― Simon Pegg
So, who are the Girly Geeks?
With the evolution of the geek culture, I believe it has also paved way to a new brand of geeks — the girly geeks.
Girly geeks are women who know how to harness the power of technology. They love their smartphones, tablets, and their iPods and use these gadgets in order to make their life better!
They say that technology makes us lazy bums. But girly geeks beg to disagree! They believe that technology can actually be used to make themselves more beautiful, confident, and healthy.
