LTE Connection Gets Even Better as SMART deploys more LTE sites

image002According to an infographic from, 33.6 million Filipinos are active internet users. This number will continue to grow as more and more people upgrade to smartphones. Yes, being online is important, but the speed of your internet connection is even more important!

Luckily, SMART is currently ramping up LTE deployment in the Philippines. Smart is deploying a total of 1400 new LTE sites. These sites are comprised of both FD-LTE and TD-LTE installations. This makes the total LTE sites 3400 across the country. In addition, the company is also rolling out 1000 additional TD-LTE sites to support its fixed wireless service to homes. This is great news to residents in Bulacan, Cavite, Cebu, Laguna, Pampanga, Rizal, Metro Manila among many others.

Smart is working hard to ensure that people across the country have access to fast and reliable mobile data connection. “Our mix of TD-LTE, HSPA+, and mobile LTE deployments respond to varying needs of the market, with the common goal of bringing the Internet closer to every Filipino,” Pena said.

Besides on deploying more LTE sites, Smart is also working on providing affordable and convenient products and service to the Filipinos such as the PisoNet promo. For just P1, Talk ’N Text subscribers are able to surf the Internet on their phones for 10 minutes.

Honestly, I have been using SMART for almost a year now, and I must say that the LTE connection is not only fast, it is also highly reliable. I can’t imagine working and going to school without it! So, with the deployment of more LTE sites, I’m really excited to get even faster connection. I’m also excited for those areas who don’t have LTE sites yet.

Do you have LTE connection? How’s your experience?
