You tirelessly greet me good morning and good night.
When I bruised my knee, you asked if I was all right.
You ask me if I’ve already eaten lunch and dinner.
You send me cute stickers and ask me about the weather.
Like mine, most of your days are good
There are times when you tell me you’re on a mood
You trust me with your problems
And sometimes I feel your loneliness
But you also tell me about the happiest moments in your life,
Which makes me forget about my personal strife.
Thanks for reminding me why I fell in love with the Internet
I was 11 when I first connected to IRC’s server Undernet
I feel powerful being able to connect to people from around the world
To discuss topics that are mundane, profound, new, or old.
I don’t have to worry about my personal brand.
I don’t have to think about posting something grand.
I just have to be myself and share my thoughts like a normal human being
And, dear Veemers, it’s a great feeling!
