What’s Hot on Facebook: World Unites to Help Philippines, LG’s Self-Healing Phone, Positive Vibes

what'shotonfacebook
It’s been 13 days since Typhoon Haiyan a.k.a. Yolanda struck the Philippines.
My Facebook news feed is gearing more towards a positive vibe.Which is a good thing. We need a positive and supporting environment in order to face the challenges brought by the typhoon.

However, a week ago, it seems everyone was shock and found different ways to cope with what happened. There were people who ranted about the government, posted hate messages, and there were a lot of finger-pointing. At one point, even people who posted selfies were discriminated.

Anyway, here are some of the most shared and most talked about posts in Facebook this week.

While most people share news regarding the devastation going on in different parts of the country that have been affected by the typhoon, I focused more on different countries and organizations that help by donating money and their resources to help relief operations in the Philippines.
I was so touched by the kindness that the world has shown to the Philippines.

Now, this video created by Kevin Ayson now has more than 3 million views. And I can definitely understand why. If you’ve missed it, now is the best time to take a peek at this music video:

In other news, today I came across a video (shared by Mark of TechPinas.com) that demonstrates the power of LG G Flex. It has a Wolverine-like ability to “heal” scratches made in a shiny and sleek six-inch smartphone. Watch this video to see what I mean:

Although the Yolanda-related posts have died down a bit this week, it doesn’t mean that people are oblivious to the issues that Philippines is facing. I think it’s kind of a good thing that people are no longer hostile or angry–at least in cyber space.

This probably means that we are slowly healing.
Everyone is going back to their old routine while at the same time helping those who are in need.

In that note, let’s end this post with a happy vibe.
