New Name, Same Awesome Content: is Now GirlyGeek.Ph

a photo of keyboard that says same and changeChange can be scary. But often times, changes can be for the better. And that’s what I’m hoping to happen now that I’ve changed my domain name from to GirlyGeek.Ph.

When you visit or if you have saved it in your bookmark, you don’t have to worry. The old link still works; you’ll just be routed to this new address. 🙂

I’ve had the domain name for more than two years now, and it was actually hard to let go. But if I want people to easily remember my website’s name and address, I felt there was a need for change.

I was able to transfer everything to the new domain name except for the Facebook likes, shares, and comments. I appreciate all the comments in this blog, and it was one of the things that was hard to let go. So, I took a screenshot of some of my favorite comments. 🙂

Why Change It?

For the past couple of months, every time I attend an event and register, people often get confused on how to write my website’s name (some of them wrote: Geeky Girl Life or Girly Geeky Life). And I can definitely understand why it’s hard to write and remember. It’s quite a tongue twister, and it’s three words.

So, I thought if I want to easily brand my blog, I have to change it to something that’s easy to remember. At the same time, it should not be so far from its original name.

 Hence, GirlyGeek.Ph was born.

I asked a few blogger and SEO friends about the name change, and their advice is greatly appreciated (Shout out to Digital Spidey,  Kim of the World).

What You Can Expect from the new name?

The domain name may have changed, but I promise to continue delivering awesome content. I’d like to think that the content so far is awesome (if not please do let me know).hehe

I will post more frequently than usual. I will cover the most important tech news and updates that will affect the way you buy and use smartphones, tablets, your PC’s, and your favorite websites.

I love everything about blogging and technology, and I feel so blessed that I get to do both of these things.

What’s in It For You, my dear friends and readers?

Every post I write in this blog was written with you in mind.

When I discover something useful, helpful, or something funny at times, I share it with you.

I will also do my best to scrounge up blog giveaways, so I can thank you for reading my blog and for supporting me in my passion.

That’s basically it. Just wanted to let you know about the change.

Thank you for indulging me with this post. 🙂

Have a great day!

Your friendly neighborhood girly geek,
